All in due time.

Ever have a day, week, or month where nothing seems to go in your favor?

That pretty much sums up the past few weeks for me. All you can really do is bunker down and wait for it to pass, I guess.

Foolish.

I'm usually a pretty guarded person. I like being that way. I like being in control of my emotions and feelings.

But every once in a while, I let my guard down. I see something in someone that makes me go for it. And I'm usually burned.

This last particular time, I was made to be a fool and that probably hurts the most. I was such a bad judge of character this time and all swept up in the idea that someone can change. Or that maybe the timing was right this time.

So foolish.

But life goes on and it's somewhat comforting to know that I can let myself go and feel. Maybe I'm not as jaded and cynical as I think.

I recently stumbled upon this song on the radio and fell in love with it. I've never been a big John Denver fan, but it is just so beautiful and heart felt.

I may have loved and lost, but I still can appreciate the loveliness that is in this song.

101 in 1001 update

I've completed some more goals. Here they are:

6. Get more involved in politics. (Someone asked me to be their campaign manager for the 2012 election year)

27. Get a cat. (His name is Torrence and I love him.)

31. Marry Joe Mauer. (Sadly, this one probably won't be accomplished. He recently got engaged...and not to me. But I suppose there is still a chance?)

93. Or watch Lost. (I've got 2 episodes left. It's going to happen.)


So I've completed 18 things. Guess I haven't accomplished as much as I thought. Wah wah.

Cue the tears...

Katy Perry tends to be my weakness. I would apologize for it, but hey, I just love a catchy pop song.

Given my current situation, this one makes me sad now.

I'm really conflicted lately. I just feel pulled in so many directions and I don't know which one to give in to. So many decisions and factors.

I hate making decisions.
