I recently had the privilege of going to Washington, DC, for work. It was a wonderful trip. I love my NARAL family and have made some friendships that will last for many years. I also had the opportunity to lobby for my organization to our state's legislators. Never thought I would be in that position. I got to meet/talk with the Executive Director of Emily's List, which is also a kick-ass organization, about the political climate in South Dakota. What an opportunity.

It was a trip that had my inner (or outer, I guess) political nerd geeking out. This picture sums it up nicely.
