I finally decided on a New Year's resolution...3 days into the new year. While there are a few things I want to try and accomplish that are more or less personal goals, I've decided on something tangible to really really work for.
My resolution for 2010 is to complete my Peace Corps application and officially start the process to becoming a volunteer.
The Peace Corps has been a dream of mine ever since junior year of high school. I will admit, a bit shamefully, that my first initial draw to the the Peace Corps was in the name. I mean who wouldn't want to be a part of something called the Peace Corps? And after looking into it more, I realized it's the type of work I want to do and define my life.
So the crush has been lingering for years now like an ex-boyfriend that I never quite got out of my head. We have a chemistry that I'm unwilling to give up on.
Now it's time for me to make the move and hopefully my relationship with the Peace Corps develops into something wonderfully emotional and physical and *fingers crossed* even life changing.
Alright 2010.
Lets make it happen.
